What went wrong?

Sometimes things can be left too long and you don’t know there is a problem until you start to see the damage. This property had their gutters completely full of turf. We could have taken this home and put it down in the garden! However it was not good for the property because the water could not drain away and they were noticing damp patches inside.

How we cleaned it

Because of the location and the amount of grass to come out, we decided it was best to do this job off a ladder. For safely we had a stand-off, safety cones, and a man stood at the bottom of the ladder, but we had to get up there ourselvesto get it out. We have special gutter-shaped tools that fit inside the gutter and can pull the debris towards us, so we don’t have to move the ladder too much.

Final results

The gutter came up brilliantly. We removed all the grass and unplugged the downpipe, letting water run freely again and preventing costly damage to this property.

After removing the grass we gave them a final scrape out to remove the little bits that were still remaining in the gutters.
